Privacy Policy
Effective June 12, 2026
Card Collection collects no data. Everything — photos, names, grades, notes — stays on your device. The app never connects to the internet.
What we collect
Nothing. Card Collection has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party software of any kind. The app makes no network connections, so nothing you put into it can leave your device through the app.
Photos and the camera
Card Collection asks for camera access only when you take a photo of a card, and photo library access only when you choose to add an existing photo or save one back to your library. Photos you add are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are never uploaded anywhere.
The optional passcode
You can set a 4-digit passcode in Settings to keep the collection private on a shared device. The passcode is stored only on your device. It is a privacy curtain, not a security vault — anyone with your device passcode and technical know-how could still reach the photos.
The home-screen widget
The widget shows your favorite card's photo and name. That snapshot is shared between the app and the widget inside the app's private container on your device, and nowhere else.
Backups
When you tap "Back up collection," the app creates a file that you choose where to save or send. That file is in your hands — Card Collection does not transmit or store it anywhere itself. Your device's normal iCloud or computer backup may also include the app's data, governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Card Collection is made for collectors and families. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone — adult or child — there is no data to share, sell, or lose. We do not knowingly collect information from children, or from anyone else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Since the app collects nothing, we don't expect it to change much.

Moving to a new device
Photos live only on your device, so before switching phones open Settings → Back up collection and save the backup file somewhere safe (Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop it to yourself). On the new device, use Restore from backup.
Forgot your passcode?
The passcode has no recovery path by design — nothing is stored off your device. Deleting and reinstalling the app removes the passcode, but also removes the collection, so restore from a backup afterwards if you have one.
The widget shows nothing
The widget displays your favorite card. Mark one as a favorite (the heart) and open the app once so it can hand the photo to the widget.
